We are a 4th generation family dairy farm, with about 75 head of Holsteins in the dairy milk herd and about 80 holstein and Hereford’s in our beef herd. The farm consists of about 430 acres and we do all our own cropping and take care of a dozen local properties owned by others as well.
We are open to the general public and a lot of the school kids come here and pay us visits as a field trip and learning experience. We are located in a great area next to Pillsbury State Park, where there are miles of trails on our property and those surrounding us for snowmobiling, hiking, skiing, walking and horseback riding.
We have an Open Air Market every other Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm (weather permitting) where we have a lot of our store items for you to purchase and any other vender who participates.
We started having MOO-VIE nights throughout the summer with our outdoor theatre system and you can purchase food, drinks, ice cream and snacks at our Pavilion. This past summer we had Nick Drouin; an up and coming country singer had a concert with food truck as well. Families playing games, kids on the swing set and walking around visiting and feeding the animals made for a great evening. We had fireworks last summer and again this past summer and are hoping to continue the tradition. We post every event we have on our Facebook page as well!
Besides milking and cropping we make and sell hay and we have the best compost around. People come as far away as Vermont and Massachusetts to buy our compost.
We opened our farm store and it has helped us keep our farm in operation immensely. We offer a multitude of items for sale. Our raw milk in glass and plastic jugs, local farm eggs that we get fresh every week. We sell our home-grown, grass fed, USDA certified beef, many cuts of steaks and roasts to choose from – vacuum pack sealed for longer freezer life. We also have a wide variety of cuts in lamb meat and pork. We have decided to carry a couple of items from local people like maple syrup and maple products, goats milk soaps and salves. The store also carries some jellies and jams, herbs, teas and meat glazes for roasting and grilling. During the summer months we have fresh vegetables.
If you are in our neighborhood stop by and say hi, visit the store and spend some time here at one of our events!
